What makes a gift special?

Sometimes the idea of someone's birthday or even an anniversary can be terrifying. So many questions pop into your mind for example “what can I get her this year” or “what do you give to someone that already has everything”. Hours of searching and thinking can sometimes go into a gift when it’s supposed to be easy because we don’t have hours to think of a gift.

Most of the time, the simplest thing can mean the most. Or like Winnie the Pooh would say: “Sometimes the smallest things take up the most room in your heart.” If the gift that you give comes from the heart, it’s almost guaranteed that the person receiving it will be grateful.

It is essential to choose a gift that shows that you genuinely care. You can also personalise your gift to show that extra bit of love and to make sure that no one else can give the same gift as you.

Every year I promise myself that the next gift I’m giving is going to be unique and meaningful but what exactly does a meaningful gift mean? In this busy world, every second is important. We still hang out with our friends and call them but do we know each other? Well, that question is answered every time a birthday is coming along. No, a meaningful gift doesn’t mean that you have to buy the most expensive gift or a voucher at a fancy shop. Your gift must show your love. That gift the other person is going to treasure their entire lives.

When there is a gift to be given, it means that a birthday or a special occasion is coming along. Every gift must make that person feel special whenever they see it.

A special gift can be centred around a special memory you and that person shared or it can be another experience or adventure.

A special gift doesn’t mean expensive or BIG. It can be small as long as it comes straight from the heart.
